Archived "old news format" (from July 2008 to August 2008):
August 2008:
Jade Empire rating fix - 14th: I changed the Jade Empire recommended rating from 14+ to 17+ because I just discovered that you can have a few questionable romantic relationships in the game. So, I updated
Suggestive themes on page 4 and the Closing comment.
Original Playstation - 6th: I put the Original Playstation games list in the PS3 platform page, as the Playstation Store sells PSones games anyway, and I eventually plan on reviewing PSN games, and original Playstation games from the Playstation store. In other words, I'm just simplifing, since PSone isn't a very big platform anymore, and I'll probably only review a handful of the best on that platform anyway.
Updated reviews - 4th: Over the past week I completely re-did the reviews for Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, Paper Mario, and Paper Mario 2. They originally only used to be a couple of paragraphs with very little info, as at the time, I was concentrating on building the visual aspects of my site. I've also redone a few more reviews, but these are the most notable. Check them out if you're interested.
Games by age update - 1st: Well, it's my first updated of the month, and I have just finished retooling the Games by Age page on my site. It used to be a list of recommended kids game, listed by age. But, since I plan on adding all listed anyway, I've now made it so you can browse my reviews by the age I recommended for it. The list is still growing, as I am reviewing more and more games every month, so check back often.
July 2008:
Lots of edits - 27th: I've been editing countless pages, in multiple way. Most I have been working on are from when I first started my site (the majority of which are virtual console games), and they've needed to be updated to my current form of writing for future visitors to the site. I can't really list all of them, as I'm doing more than a dozen. So, if you see something different, just know that it's probably been edited. I'm done with the majority of the edits, but there are still a few I'll be working on this next week.
Jade Empire review up - 21st: I've finished the review. So be sure to check it out on the updates page (or by platform/alphabet). It's also now available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace. The original boxed version is backwards compatible (works) with the Xbox 360 too. I've finished the game on the Xbox 360, and the emulation (what makes it work on this system) is very solid. The only issue I noticed, is there are a couple of missing textures at the Pilgrims Inn (near beginning), and the Imperial Palace (near end). Also, the CG cutscenes are set too bright. But, other than this, it runs great.
Splinter Cell 4 edit - 20th: I just finished editing Splinter Cell: Double Agent for the 360/PS3. There isn't a huge change, just a couple extended paragraphs. I also seperated it into 2 pages. Check it out if you're interested.
Edited reviews - 18th: Since I don't review games based on opinion, they have to be pretty accurate. That's why I'll be updating my reviews with bits of new info (if they need it). Sometimes it wlll be tiny, and sometimes it will be somewhat drastic. I'll update this page when I make an edit for now on. In fact, I just edited the Metal Gear Solid 2 review. It's nothing big, just a couple of extended paragraphs. So, check it out if you're interested.
Jade Empire - 18th: I just want to let you know that I'm currently reviewing Jade Empire, as it will be available for download on Xbox 360's Xbox Live Marketplace on July 21st for 1200 MS points (about $15). I hope to have it up by then, and I will post an update on this page when I finish it. Check gamerscoreblog.com for more info on Jade Empire's (re)release.
Site update - 18th: I decided to add this news page so that I can post updates on what reviews I'm working on, changes to my site, etc. Eventually (once I build a bigger library of reviews) I plan to write previews and articles about the newest games. I will be adding the new link layout to all the pages over the next few days. But, for now I'll just have it on the games, updates, news and home page.
