Content review for this game:
Pertaining to content listed in the upper left corner of this site.

"E" for Everyone: This is a puzzle game. So obviously there is absolutely no objectional content unless you consider the hexagons to be too curvaceous (which this game is guilty of ;P)

Content-wise: Kids 6- can most certainly watch this game without incident, however, I don't think many in this age group will be interested in watching this specific puzzle game, let alone playing it. I'll explain why in the next category.

Difficulty-wise: The game has three main modes, the first of which is called Marathon Mode (which has no time limit, and there is no way you can die) and is the main draw of this puzzle game. The base gameplay involves a few rows of closely knit hexagons on screen. Your objective is to control a cluster of three differently colored hexagons, and rotate them until one (or all) line up with 3 or more of the same color, which results in them disappearing, and more hexagons falling on screen to (annoyingly) take their place. The objective in Marathon is to make the desired amount of these matches. For example, the first round requires you to make a single match 50 times to move on. Once you do this, you move onto the next level and repeat. Timed Mode is what it sounds like, and Survival Mode is where unused pieces start to lock onto the board.

There is a bit more to gameplay, but you get the overall idea. Difficulty-wise, I could see 7+ year-olds playing it, but would they even want to? If they do, let them play it, but I think they'll lose interest pretty fast.

Fun for: This game is obviously skewed more toward adults, and rightly so, as it's not too visually appealing, and the gameplay could be just plain boring in younger kids' eyes. Though I could see some kids 10+ (who happen to be puzzle fans--are there any?) enjoy it.

Closing comment: There's not much to say. This game comes with every Xbox 360 that has a hard drive, and for a puzzle game, its relatively deep and somewhat fun. Content-wise it's obviously appropriate for any age, but difficulty-wise (and fun-wise in this case), I don't think anyone under 10 is going to find this appealing. So, I recommend this game for ages 10+.
