Note: This game has the same overall storyline as the last-gen version of the game. But is developed by the team who did Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, and has completely different levels, cutscenes, the best graphics engine and more untraditional gameplay.

Blood & gore: There is no bloodshed when you shoot or stab an enemy in gameplay. However, in two of the levels, you can pull enemies through thin ice, making your character stab the enemy in the chest, which results in a small spurt of blood. Also in one scene, blood splatters on the wall after a hostage is shot in the head. For some reason, the ESRB didn't mention that there is moderate gore.

Specific scenes of blood & gore:

In one level you see two hotel workers killed by the enemy, slumped on the floor with blood smeared on the wall behind them. One optional objective, at the terrorists' headquarters, is to drag a dead body down to the furnace room for incineration. Also in the furnace room is the body of the hostage mention above.

One level takes place in the middle of a chaotic African warzone. Throughout the level you see several dead, bloody and mutilated bodies, and blood splattered on many of the walls. And at one point you see one of these mutilated bodies lying against a wall. Soon a grenade falls near the body, resulting in it, and the area exploding in a bloody mess.

Suggestive Themes: The ESRB didn't mention this in their rating either. The second level has a couple of nude sketches of the female form and a couple of bikini posters. Also, at the end of one of the terrorist headquarter levels, if you enter a certain room, the main character gets caught by one of the main terrorist who happens to be female. To save himself, he makes it look like he wanted to see her. She buys it, and it is suggested that they sleep together.

Language: There are over 10 uses of h**l, 8 uses of d**n, 2 uses of s**t, and 4 uses of a**. Also there is over 1 misuse of Jesus, God and Christ and over two uses of God d**n.

Violence: The story is more personal and intense than the previous games, as the main character's daughter is killed, and in his grief, he takes the most dangerous mission available. Which involves going undercover as a criminal and infiltrates an American terrorist ring. There he must gather intel and eventually put a stop to their plans. Throughout the game there are several key moral choices, where you are given the option to make the good or bad choice. If you do the bad thing, your trust meter will fill up for the terrorists and if you do the good thing visa-versa.

This game is about stealth, so the objective is to not get caught. Your character is equipped with a couple of guns and a combat knife. You have the choice to choke or knock your enemies out unconscious with the left trigger, or kill your enemies with the right, which will have your main character either stab the enemy in the stomach, throat, back, slash the throat, snap the neck, or in some instances throw the enemy over ledges and pull them through thin ice. However, you almost always have a choice. This also has very suspenceful gameplay along the lines of the tv show "24". Her are a few examples of these moral choices listed below:

1: The leader of the terrorists gives you a gun and tells you to shoot and kill a hostage that is bloody, beaten and tied to a wall. You can either shoot him or refuse by waiting until another one of the terrorists does the deed. Either way you can't save him, because you'll blow your cover.

2: You are given the choice to either feed gas into the vents and kill a ship's bridge crew or go in manually and knock them unconcious. the latter is harder.

3: In the previous mission the terrorists gave you the objective to set a bomb on a cruise ship. If you decide to stop the detonation, the terrorist boss will blame you and the main female terrorist, and in blind rage he will shoot and kill her. If you let it detonate, hundereds of innocent people will die in the explosion, and you will lose trust from the good guys.
