Introduction: First of all, if you're here to see if this game is appropriate for kids -17, it's not in the least. But, if you want to know why it's not, you've come to the right place. Usually I try to keep the names of characters and major story spoilers out of my reviews, but that's impossible with this game. It's just so full of objectional content that I have to give you as much detail as possible, and that sometimes means spoilers. I can't document everything, as this is such a huge, non-linear game. But, I'm going to give you a very good idea, starting with a sum up of all the missions in this game, listed under the catagory "Missions," above. If you don't feel like reading through all the missions, don't worry, as I have the standout objectional content explained in the remaining categories.
Below is a list of just some of my stats after beating the story mode of Grand Theft Auto IV. It will give you an idea on how much you will be killing and stealing:
My Stats: After my 29:54:02 hours in Liberty City, I killed 772 enemies, ran over 158 pedestrians, fired 15291 bullets, and stole 171 cars. So, in other words, if you're thinking of getting this game for your kids, or yourself, don't make the excuse that you could be careful and play without killing or stealing too much, because that's not the case. There is no way to play Grand Theft Auto like a good guy. You have to have the intent to be bad, period.
